As one of the largest electronic payment companies in Brazil, Cielo operates a highly critical environment, processing over 6 billion transactions per year – approximately 16.5 million transactions per day. However, its infrastructure based on AIX/Power with an Oracle database no longer met the demands for performance, security, and scalability, directly impacting customer experience and system reliability. To continue growing and ensuring stable operations, a complete technological refresh was essential.

SOLUTION

After evaluating solutions from IBM, HP, and Dell, Cielo chose to migrate its entire environment to 06 pure-bred in-house Exadata systems, paired with Zero Data Loss technology for backup and recovery. This Oracle all-in-one appliance (hardware + software) simplified operations, optimized response times, and enhanced protection against failures and cyberattacks.
