Prime DB's CEO, José Ibanes Junior, would like to share another successful Move to Cloud case completed by our team in partnership with Oracle, applications and database.
Together with the Oracle and the OBA team, we were able to transform an architecture that was limited to an expected exponential growth of the client, which at that time was in another cloud as host and with Oracle Standard to OCI fully Enterprise with Cluster solutions for the applications and Exadata (Extreme performance) for all their Oracle databases, besides having replication (DR) in a second data center also in Brazil with a second Exadata fully updated.
The most interesting, believe it, is that even with all this, there was significant cost savings. This was possible because we developed a solution at Prime DB to scale OCPU through consumption schedules, where it is possible to have more processing during peak hours and at night save a lot of money by leaving just enough without disturbing production.
Another very important point that is a concern for many customers, is the migration time and transparency for users.
With the architecture drawn and a well-designed project, it was possible for us to migrate everything that was planned in 30 days, including one of their databases with about 10TB in 10 minutes.
Finally, we would like to thank our Prime DB Technology Director, Everton Bentlin and also Rafael Zani, as well as our internal team. Together we could reduce the Exadata's OCPU consumption with a lot of TUNING work, because it is not enough just to migrate your architecture to Exadata, you need to have knowledge to take advantage of this giant.
